A while back I featured some beautiful concert photography examples by B.Romain. Back then, he informed me of a photography project he had been working on, the 60 quotes project which he has started in September 2009.
B.Romain did not plan this project really, as the first shot was just an experiment. After that, he felt the idea of illustrating quotes was interesting. After that one, he picked a series of themes. Every time he wanted to illustrate another quote, he picks one of the themes, looks for a quotation and set off to creating his next photo.
Though he was a pure amateur when he first started his project, it has helped evolve and progress his photography skills beyond what he had ever imagined. Leading such a project is also really favorable to inspiration. Being forced to shoot with the constraints of a specific theme or quote drives your imagination, and that alone gets you a long way.
